Door County has become a mecca for silent sports and silent sports competitions. There are events almost every weekend. Registration is open for all of the biggest events including the Door County Half Marathon, Triathlon, and Peninsula Spring Century Ride. You need to register soon if you want to compete. It also means that you need to make reservations soon if you want to have somewhere to sleep after you compete. Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5K 

May 5

Peninsula State Park

13.1-mile run, 5k
Hailed as one of the best runs in the Midwest, the Door County Half Marathon includes “13.1 of the most scenic miles you’ll ever run,” according to Jenny Hadfield of Runner’s World. Enjoy a USATF-certified closed road course that takes you along the shore, through the woods, and atop the bluffs of Peninsula State Park. Finish with beer and friends at Nicolet Bay. Register here.

Ahnahpee Summer Solstice 50

June 23

Sturgeon Bay

An unforgettable run on the beautiful Ahnapee State Trail. Complete the event as a solo or team of 2-5 runners, and choose from distances of 30 or 50 miles. Teams of 2-5 runners will complete 10 legs on the Ahnapee State Trail as they travel from Sturgeon Bay to Kewaunee, finishing at the fairgrounds in Luxemburg. All finishers will be treated to an after race party at the fairgrounds in Luxemburg. Non-participants are welcome at the party, and tickets will be sold at the gate. More Information here

Penninsula Century Spring Classic

June 16

Baileys Harbor

The Peninsula Century Spring Classic bike ride is the only spring Door County century ride offering routes of 25, 50, 62, and 100 miles through beautiful northern Door County.

Enjoy six fully stocked aid stations, full course support with mechanics and SAGs, and a finish line party with food from Thyme Catering, the Cookery, and local chefs, plus Door County Brewing Co. beer, Tapuat Kombucha, and live music.

Frank Murphy Park, Egg Harbor

The Door County Peninsula is often referred to as the “Cape Cod of the Midwest.” This popular Midwestern tourist destination offers an abundance of lodging, dining, shopping and entertainment options. The sandy shorelines and majestic bluffs along Green Bay north of Sturgeon Bay provide an ideal setting for a triathlon.

Frank Murphy Park is located in Horseshoe Bay, just 15 miles north of Sturgeon Bay and 3 miles south of Egg Harbor. The park has an ornate pavilion, a sandy beach, and a permanent pier that is perfect for spectators.
